Ah, I see...I forgot about how the database automatically filters out duplicates. In that case, we shouldn't have any problems.

The update is hourly.

The nightly 'results' update runs at 00:10 gets all the 'end-of-day' files
- the nightly results files are fetched
- the results table is updated file-by-file
- any new participants in results are added to the teams table
- summary_by_user is completely refreshed
- summary_by_date is completely refreshed
- the recent table is completely refreshed
- the primes table is updated

Thereafter, the 'progress' update runs at 10 past the hour from 01 thru' 23
(so not when the nightly update runs)
- the latest progress files are fetched
- the progress table is updated file-by-file
- any new participants in progress are added to the teams table
- summary_progress is completely refreshed
- the recent table is completely refreshed
- the primes table is updated
- crosstab_progress is completely refreshed

at present the following reports are sourced from data refreshed nightly
- Top Team - k/n pairs
- Top Team - primes
- Top Participants - k/n pairs
- Top Participants - Primes
- Stats by Server
- Stats by Date (* NEW * "Results - All Time" chart)

at present the following reports are sourced from data refreshed hourly
- NPLB PRIMES LIST (* NEW * )
- Progress Report (* NEW * )
- Last 25 Results

don't forget that GB server is 1 hour ahead of IB server so that affects things like the 'Last 25 Report' which will always be GB results, and the Progress Report will always show GB ports as having a full result leading out ahead of the IB ports by 1 hour. Have a close look at the Progress report and you will see :)

there is some refactoring to be done to make it more efficient by getting the nightly update to also refresh progress and progress_crosstab AND also get the progress update to refresh results, summary_by_user and summary_by date.

that will 'sync' all of the reports into an hourly update

there will always be more to do.

David, it seems that you're posting a number of smiley codes in this forum that are not actually valid on mersenneforum.org--we have somewhat different codes here than the ones at the Free-DC forum (which is what yours look like they're from). However, we do have a thumbs-up smiley, though not with the same code as at Free-DC. It's got the code :tu:; and probably the closest equivalent to :notworthy: would be :bow:.
