Reserving 925K-935K for port 9000. This should be enough to last through at least the first part of the rally, though of course we'll be monitoring it closely throughout.
Also reserving 935K-945K for port 3000. Better load that one up too for the rally...assuming Gary can get his machines back online for the start of the rally (looks like some kind of power outage that only the server machine survived due to its UPS), what's left in there shouldn't last long. His other pcs won't boot automatically when power comes back on so we might be fine.
edit: well it is still on now so should be fine Last fiddled with by henryzz on 2010-10-26 at 19:32 |

Regardless, though, we need to have a good amount of work in the server before going into a rally in any event; even without Gary on port 3000 we should still be moving pretty quickly with Vaughan on there once the rally starts. Edit: Just found this post confirming that Gary will be back sometime today. (I'd forgotten the exact date.) Quote:

I had what appeared to be a < 30 second power blip on Monday morning. This of course didn't affect the server machine. After losing about 1-1/2 days processing on the rest of my machines, I got them all running again about 12:30 AM CDT last night. I'll move them all over to port 3000 in the next couple of hours.
This is why I asked that we start the rally Weds. Everything is good and ready to go. :-) Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-10-27 at 15:40 |

Reserving 945K-955K for port 9000 and 955K-965K for port 3000. These will be loaded from a much better sieve file (sieved to p=75T, with some factors removed up to 300T) provided by our joint sieve effort with PrimeGrid. Any primes reported on this drive for n>945K should be reported as "[your name], Srsieve, Psieve, NPLB, LLR"; note the addition of "Psieve". This means a new proof code: if you already have a proof code for just "[your name], Srsieve, NPLB, LLR", you can NOT use it for n>945K primes on this drive.

The 5th drive is now officially complete. Thanks for everyone's contributions to finishing the drive nearly 2 months ahead of time!
![]() Max and/or Karsten, please process the results to me for n=912K-1M when you have a chance. Thanks. Gary |
