Scooped "checkfacts.txt" into the database, by converting the txt-file to some elf-files and using "aliqueit -s" (simple c and bash script)

DB reports 196784 new factors!

(bit more than a dozen )

Hmm. THAT many new factors suggest that Richard Brent's factor.gz hasn't been imported, either. Does anybody know about this? It uses a format like checkfacts except that it includes +1 and -1, so each exponent includes a sign. It's at

I'm submitting it now. I'll edit or post with the number of new factors reported.
Edit: Hm, I thought it'd give it...I don't see anything here saying how many new factors the DB found:
Code:
Sending 278088 lines...
--05:24:44--  http://factorization.ath.cx/search.php?report=true
           => `aliqueit_tmp_wget_1234'
Resolving factorization.ath.cx... 188.40.47.202
Connecting to factorization.ath.cx[188.40.47.202]:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
Length: 3,229 [text/html]

100%[====================================>] 3,229         --.--K/s

05:30:02 (3.08 MB/s) - `aliqueit_tmp_wget_1234' saved [3229/3229]
In any case, it seems (from checking a few random ones) that either the DB had those factors already, or they have been entered successfully.

The file is too big, there was no transmission.

In the aliquot sequence overview page showing open end sequences,
http://www.factordb.com/search.php?s...&5=1&do=Search
is there a way to show the size of the last term rather than, or perhaps in addition to, the size of its unfactored part?

If it was, it isn't now.

And even if it wasn't, it isn't now and there's nothing you can do about that.

Default Small database problem

Whenever I query the database I get a message like

select fid, status, type, digits, md from factors where smd=44863 and factor="2^941-1" - Table './fdb/factors' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed

I am feeling rather happy to have local copies of my aliquot-sequence progress ...

Yeah, it's not just the aliquot sequences, either.

But, the good news is that it seems it is just a display and update problem. My aliperl scipt is still picking up the last lines for sequences fine. The db isn't claiming new factors, though, so I don't know if it is receiving them or not. But, like you, I have them for later.

From factordb.com:

One table crashed today, repairing it right now. I'm quite sure it won't fail, but if it does, last backup ist just 12 hours old.
I hope repair will be successful.
