Default mprime v25 0 cpu usage

I just upgraded a computer from mprime version 24 to version 25 and now it just sits there. top shows no cpu usage.
Running mprime -d gives the following output:
[Work thread Nov 14 17:30] Setting affinity to run worker on logical CPUs 0,1
[Work thread Nov 14 17:30] Optimal P-1 factoring of M47332421 using up to 128MB of memory.
[Work thread Nov 14 17:30] Assuming no factors below 2^70 and 2 primality tests saved if a factor is found.
[Work thread Nov 14 17:30] Optimal bounds are B1=455000, B2=4322500
[Work thread Nov 14 17:30] Chance of finding a factor is an estimated 4.03%
[Work thread Nov 14 17:30] Using FFT length 2560K

but there's no cpu usage and it never gets past that point. I tried deleting my mprime directory and installing from scratch, but still the same thing.

I upgraded another machine and it worked fine, but for some reason this one doesn't do any work.

Thanks in advance,
Bijan

Perhaps you could include some other details such as the OS? Microsoft or linux? The CPU? AMD OR INTEL? GHz? Is it multi core or hyperthread? Does it support SSE2? How much main memory is installed?

It's a pentium 4 3.2 GHz. Running Linux. With 2 gigs of ram.

The weird thing is that looking at the programs output it seems that it is doing work:
"[Work thread Nov 26 00:05] Iteration: 8680000 / 47367113 [18.32%]. Per iteration time: 0.087 sec.
[Work thread Nov 26 00:20] Iteration: 8690000 / 47367113 [18.34%]. Per iteration time: 0.087 sec.
[Work thread Nov 26 00:34] Iteration: 8700000 / 47367113 [18.36%]. Per iteration time: 0.087 sec."

Which seems to be correct. But top shows 0 cpu usage.

Thanks again,
Bijan
