Hey guys. I've got a few cores freeing up on some laptops so I guess I'll do LLRNET. I browsed a lot of the forum and I'm impressed. A well run project. I am a relative novice about primes so be gentle.

Well now that you offered. I'm trying to get LLR 3.7.1 (or is it PRP 3.7.1)but www.mersenne.org/gimps/ seems to be belly up. Where can I download it from, incase I want to try some manual stuff? I have PRP 2.414 but should probably upgrade that.

You can download LLR from Jean Penne's site ( http://jpenne.free.fr/index2.html ). Here's the latest stable LLR:
http://jpenne.free.fr/llr3/llr371c.zip

BTW the FTP version of that URL you linked seems to work.

A hearty welcome Buster. Thanks for the kind words. It looks like you've met some friendly folks already who've got you set up with a manual version of LLR. If you want a manual file or 2, the 1st drive is a good place to start. If you have a little more CPU power and want to take a k-value for n=600K-1M yourself, there's the individual-k reservations effort. If needed, we can likely give you an idea of how much CPU time one of the latter files would take, depending on the # of tests in the file, which varies greatly by k.

Late this year or early in 2009 close to when we're finishing the 1st drive, in addition to starting testing for k=400-1001 for n>600K, we'll open up some testing at higher k-values and lower n-value ranges for people who like fast tests and a lot of non-top 5000 primes.

Are you referring to this person: The Knights Who Say Ni!_Wabbit98
or a Wabbit98 with different color fur?

The Knights Who Say Ni!_Wabbit98 - please remove the TeamName from your UserName when you get a chance.
Change it to Wabbit98 only please.

Thanks!

My bad--I need to go and change the directions in the "Automated LLR Testing with LLRnet" thread to reflect the changes that we've made in how we're running our stats system. We used to require team names in usernames, but not any more.
