Nice. I get similar results for 23209.
Is there any particular reason it isn't compatible with my android 2.1 GT540?

Last night I tested 110503 on my SG S2.
It took around 32000 seconds which is around 8 3/4 hours. Unfortunately I lost the exact timing.

I updated the application on the market to be able to run on android 1.6 or newer (so it now should work on your android 2.1 GT540).

You tested 110503? That surpased my record! Cool.
I didn't expect it to last as long as 8hs, when I tested 86243 it lasted less than 3hs (on a samsung S2 too). Where you using only one core? Are there different versions of SGS2?

Please tell me if it works o your android 2.1 phone (I couldn't test that).

So we can say that in the last 3 years, the mobile's speed "almost doubled".

Valid for me too, I switched from my old phone to my daughter's old phone. She switched to a newer model about two years ago, and was keeping the old one somewhere, teasing me from time to time to take it instead of my old one... At the end I caved in... But I have an excuse, she took my old telephone and hid it so I could not find it...

I'm impressed how fast the new 64-bit phones are, but a bit surprised how slow these are still in comparison to modern desktop hardware; on one thread of an Ivy Bridge I get 1897ms for 2^86243-1 and 15990ms for testing 2^216091-1, and the smaller exponents run too quickly to see the answer

Part of this will be the maths library used rather than the hardware. Have you tried running something compiled with gmplib on one of your small arm computers?
