If you put something up on Boinc, you better be prepared to feed the beast constantly to make sure it never runs out of work, and a very good stats system with at least an xml extract for 3rd party stats is highly recommended.
The potential for getting thousands if not hundreds of thousands of folks fighting to get work and climb the stats latter is huge... if you can't feed their desires, they will go away and grumble and your project will lose interest. EON comes to mind... |
