Just for fun:
(1) How large a prime can be constructed by concatenating distinct, known Mersenne prime exponents in some order? (Since it appears M45* is on its way -- (congrats!!) -- this problem might be considered to be in temporary limbo.) (2) What are the largest and smallest primes that can be constructed by concatenating the integers 1 thru 100 in some order? (3) Suppose I have 5 different 5-digit primes. How many primes could I expect to produce by concatenating these in different orders? |
