k=27, 29, & 31 complete. No problems found. With 2 heavy-weights, even the zipped results and primes files totaled 330 KB so not attachable here. I'll Email them.
I verified the primes against Karsten's k<300 page but of course can't check Primesearch. The ranges for all 3 k's are n>260K at the Prothsearch site so nothing to report there. In a few hours, sieving will be complete and I will begin the run of k=31 for n=260K-500K due to the problems on that k. ETA on one core is a little over 2 weeks. Then we can get rid of the question marks on the k<300 page. lol After that, it'll be back to the regular n=100K-260K double-checks here. Gary |

k=31 double-check is now at n=370K...still going to n=500K. 4 primes confirmed since n=260K:
31*2^274115-1 31*2^306751-1 31*2^311389-1 31*2^315523-1 Karsten, you can reflect k=31 at n=370K now. All k<300 were double-checked to n=100K several years ago and we have now double-checked k=31 for n=100K-370K. Once I'm done, there will no longer be a gap. Gary |

Speaking of reporting ranges at Prothsearch for k<300, 3 days ago, I reported all k's and ranges k<300 that I had done in the past year to Mr. Keller. It was a multitude of them. I haven't checked to see if Mr. Keller has updated the site for them. When I get all the results pulled together on a few more efforts here, I'll report some of our team efforts there, namely the 4th drive. In an unusual move, I'll likely reserve k=181 next here for double-checking n=100K-260K. It's the only Riesel k at ProthSearch that has a range for n<200K not reported complete yet so I may as fill it in. I'll keep 1 core on this effort 24x7 except during rallies for the foreseeable future. Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2009-01-18 at 05:24 |

k=31 double-check is now at n=450K. Still going to n=500K non-stop on 1 core.
No problems found. The 2 primes in the low n>400K's were confirmed: 31*2^406105-1 31*2^421129-1 Gary |

I have been rechecking my old range regarding 27 and 31 at Dr. Keller's request. For 27 I have checked from 175000 to 336000, and found 175852 and 282700, which was missed previously as far as I can tell.
For 31, I have checked from 300000 to 417000, and have confirmed the previously known 306751, 311389, 315523 and 406105. I will be happy to continue with either or quit, since it appears my efforts are being at least somewhat duplicated. Yours, Steven Harvey |

Steve, Thank you very much for checking these out. Here is what we have done: All k <= 33 for n=100K-260K. No missing primes were found! Somebody already found n=175852 for k=27 per a top-5000 entry in 2003 here so that one is not missing. We did not check beyond n=260K on any k so we did not find the prime at for k=27 at n=282700. It is our intent once all k<=1001 is double-checked to n=260K to conduct double-checks for n=260K to a limit to be determined at that time. In addition to n=100K-260K for k=31, I will complete a double-check of it up to n=500K on Tuesday. I am currently at n=490K but have paused 2 days to run our rally. For n=260K-490K, we have confirmed that n=274115, 306751, 311389, 315523, 406105, and 421129 are prime. I will let Wilfred Keller know when I have completed k=31 to n=500K so that he can remove the "?" mark from the officially searched range. On k=27, we're not going higher with that one because we weren't aware of any missing primes on it. Please continue higher with it if you want to. On k=31, you can feel free to continue but it would be what amounts to a triple-check to n=500K. Karsten, please add a prime for k=27 at n=282700 to rieselprime.org. Thanks!
