Hi, I'm new to the this and I'm using the program to stress test my machine for ocing purposes
I downloaded Prime95 25.5 for 64 windows I went into Test > Worker threads and changed the Priority from 1 to 10 then I ran a torture test and received this when choosing In-Place large FFTs and blend [Wed Mar 05 15:13:23 2008] FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 4, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. when I run small FFTs, it works my specs are as the follows without overclocking vista 64 bit ultimate asus p5k deluxe wifi ap e6700 4x2 Gskill pc2-8000 5-5-5-15 Can anyone explain that error to me? I'm running Prime95 off my desktop and I couldn't find this stress.txt file it directs me to the only thing I can think of is that I'm running the RAM at 1066 through my BIOS? any help would be greatly appreciated! |

First of all, download the latest beta version of Prime95 (25.6).
Also please explain why do you want to change the priority from 1 to 10. If 25.6 also fails on your PC, then download the latest official release (24.14) and put it into 2 different directories. In each directory set CPU affinity to different core. Run both executables choosing one of the following scenarios:
BTW2: what are your voltages (Vcore, Vram, etc.) in BIOS and under windows (especially under load) + what PSU do you have? BTW3: what are your temperatures in idle and during stress? Last fiddled with by Cruelty on 2008-03-07 at 11:17 |
