k=315 is a good heavy-weight k. I'll go ahead and include it with our mini drive of 5 k's to start a little later this month for a total of 6 k's divisible by 3.

I'll also ask Mike (MooooMoo) if he's interested in processing n=950K-1M for k=315 like the other 5 k's so that we'll just run the mini-drive on n=600K-950K.

Looks ok from here, servers are up, hmmm...
Restarted both port 400 and 5000 and I still see folks coming in.
Something funny happened to the network, not in my house, that kept me from playing some quake action earlier...
I'll keep an eye on it.

If you can't get into the above pages, and the llrnet nplb servers are not responding, then the network is down.
Both the llrnet nplb Server and the web Server are sitting next to each other.
Conversely, if you can get work from the llrnet nplb servers, but not the web site, the web server is having a problem, and if you can get into the web server, but the llrnet nplb server is not handing out work, then the llrnet nplb server is fubar.

Oh, I was just going by the fact that no results were returned for over an hour. I hadn't messed with trying to remotely access my machines to see if they were getting work. The response time is very slow so it isn't worth messing with remotely accessing them unless I really need to.

Yep, looks like all the results over a couple of hours or more got bunched into one hour there. Good deal.

Ah, I've been working on converting the dos to vbscript still and then combining multiple scripts that do the same thing for different ports into one script.
Had a heck of a time with a pesky routine that does the copy of results.txt to the web server. Can't sneak anything by you.
Get a verizon wireless card for your laptop.
Comes in a USB model for less than $100 and works great and it's pretty fast, faster than a regular modem for sure.
Bought one for my Son for his and he loves it.
I used to live there for 6 years, just north of the North Las Vegas Airport.

Hmm...I thought even the 3G wireless cards are still slower than many household internet connections (though definitely within the broadband range of speeds). Have they gotten better since the ~300 Kbps that they were cranking out last time I read about them (a couple of years ago)?

Well, I would have thought the hotels/motels in Vegas would be all 10mb connections, but, he said it was slow/sluggish, so I thought maybe he was using a dial up modem.
Plus, if he got a wireless card, he could sit around the pool and still surf, when not looking at the scenery laying around on the towels and what not

Ah, I see what you mean--at first I thought you meant to say it was faster than a home internet connection, not a hotel one.

No no. The INTERNET response time is OUTSTANDING here in the apt. that we stay at in Vegas.

It's the remote-desktop thing where the response time is extremely poor. Otherwise I would have moved all port 5000 machines to port 400 by now. So far, I've only moved 2 of the 5 quads over. It takes me almost 10-15 mins. to move a full quad over, which includes time to clear out the current k/n pair and then return the other 4 in the cache to the server. (Max, I'm now caching 5 pairs all the time.)

Max, how is your response time when remotely accessing my machines?
