No problem, the sky has been shored up once again
![]() I'm hoping by this week-end to have some sort of stats to look at. Using real data, but it's all for temporary testing to see how it's going to work out. We will have 3 databases, one for each project CRUS LLRNET and NPLB How we are going to display all the data I'm not sure. We are now testing the automation of creating the .csv files for each type of server, and each port it's running on, then importing the .csv files into the proper databases. Getting closer... ![]() Then of course, getting the results.txt files from the other servers hosted elsewhere, like Carlos's servers... Last fiddled with by IronBits on 2008-09-25 at 05:47 |

lol, I thought we had a new searcher. "A Sunny Moo", eh? What's that mean? I guess I can't call you Anon any more. Shoot, I called you that so much, I was beginning to think that it was your real name.

Please note that there was an issue with the way the k/n pairs were being handed out on ports 7000 and 7500. It happened for about 5 hours on port 7500 and 1 hour on port 7000. I had a discussion with David and the issue is now fixed. It was a symptom of an extra header line in the file that I thought had been fixed.
There are 2 symptoms of this that you will likely see in your results files for the server: 1. Some unusual results such as 'has a small factor of 3', etc. 2. Some k/n pairs will be rejected by the server. I still have to ferret out correct from incorrect results in the server file but that is lower priority and will be taken care of tomorrow. The rejected results will occur because they are technically invalid but it is possible that there may be some valid ones from before the time that the server started handing out bad pairs. I'll ferret out what valid k/n pairs are missing a little later on. The only thing that I suggest that people do is make sure you are still processing k/n pairs normally. I don't suggest attempting to 'clear anything out' of your queues or anything like that because you could easily end up deleting good pairs at this point. Rest assured that now, correct k/n pairs are being handed out. In other words, if you're machines are still properly recieving pairs and sending results, you need do nothing. Sorry about the problems. Gary |

Any reason why Carlos' server has been removed from the list?
Also, small note, the topic with the download links to llrnet seem to have lost its sticky property |

Oops. I'll put it back. I was having some issues connecting to it early on and so was only 'promoting' Ironbits servers. The issue turned out to be more on my end. We have so many stickies that they were filling an entire page. I'll sticky it again and see if I can unsticky something else. Gary |

I set jobMaxTime to 7 days for C443 because one of the members has machines that are turned off on weekends. I want to eliminate the rejected pairs from him.
