Default Help with Startup Script

Ok, I'm running Xandros, which runs on top of Debian. I'm trying to get it so that mprime starts up automatically, independant of who if anyone logs in.

I tried the update-rc.d (or somethign like that), and it would run for a while, then I would look at top and it wouldn't be running. Maybe it's a bug (for some reason I used to get segfaults earlier this week), but I have no clue how to check it besides running it in a console (which I'm doing now).

Anyway, can anyone go through step by step on how to make this startup automatically (I'm a linux newbie). Thank you!

Search this forum for "cron"... There are several threads that talk about cron and other methods of starting mprime at boot time...
