GIMPS Computer not showing up in account.
I have 2 computers running GIMPS. One is Mandriva Linux, and the other is FreeBSD. When I log into my account at www.mersenne.org my FreeBSD machine does not show up, even though I used the same login information when configuring GIMPS on the freebsd computer. The FreeBSD machine has been running quite a while and had already sent progress updates.
Also, I would like to ensure that both of my computers are only searching for world record mersenne primes. How can I go about doing that? Thanks! |

I don't know if this matters, but my linux box (the one that is showing in account) is version 25.11.2 and the freebsd version (that is not showing up) is 24.14.6. I would really like to get credit for my work. Does anyone know how I can my my freebsd computer show up in my account?

The FreeBSD version (the one that is not showing up) I am running is a little older, it is 24.14.6. Would this make a difference? Maybe it is pointing to the old server, is there any way I can check this?

I downloaded the latest version of GIMPS and now the FreeBSD box shows up onn my account. The only problem is the lasts month of work that my computer completed is not credited on my account. I guess I can deal with this if there is no way to credit it.

I assume that your FreeBSD machine (using mprime 24.x) has only Primenet v4 capabilities. Login into you v5 account (www.mersenne.org) and click "Link my legacy PrimeNet v4.0 Account(s)".
