Hello,
When I run the stress tests I get errors immediately (within a second) including FATAL ERROR: "Rounding was 0.5 les then expected 0.4, " the most often. This is the reason I got the software, because another program OCCT detected CPU errors also but did not explain what the error was. Is there a way for me to diagnose the problem further? The computer runs ok, except has problems displaying webpages, it is a HP Pavilion tx1308nr - 32bit Win7, it is older, 8 years old. I have made upgrades to memory and the hard drive. Here is some more info on my CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile TL-58 Cores 2 Threads 2 Name AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile TL-58 Code Name Tyler Package Socket S1 (638) Technology 65nm Specification AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58 Family F Extended Family F Model 8 Extended Model 68 Stepping 1 Instructions MMX (+), 3DNow! How recently have you removed all the dust from the inside of the machine? Have you checked that the heatsink is properly mounted?
Usually, errors like this are due to heat, or too aggressive an overclock. So, investigate items that might cause the CPU to overheat. |

That's a pretty old laptop. I second the advice to blow out its air passages. If it can be opened, that is much better.
EDIT: Computers are slow motion vacuum cleaners, and laptops are cramped inside. Last fiddled with by kladner on 2015-11-14 at 06:34 |

73°C? Man, that is a hot cpu! My money are on dust, clogs of dust, and dried thermal paste. I weight into what the other guys said, you have to blow it off, if you can open the case then clean all the cooling parts, and if possibly, do a re-seat of the CPU, with new thermal pads/paste.

Temperatures in the 70 °C are not unusual for CPU's in LAPTOPS.
The laptop is not overclocked : "Bus Speed 199.5 MHz", "Stock Bus Speed 200 MHz"... There is just the rated "Rated Bus Speed 797.8 MHz" that seems a bit strange, but I doubt it would point to a 400 % overclock. Did those errors appear soon after the memory upgrade ? If yes you know where the problem is. A check for dust build up and if necessary a cleaning is always useful. Jacob |

Try running memtest86 for a while. That should tell you if the memory is faulty or if something else is.
