6 CPU cores not recognized by Prime95 v25.11.8

I have that newly constructed AMD Phenom II x6 six core CPU system discussed over in the hardware thread. It's working, and prime95 is happy to use 4 of the six cores full time. However, I had some trouble configuring through the menus to get all six cores into use, the system kept insisting I had only 4 cores. I went ahead and edited local.txt, but I think it got re-written at least once back down to 4 cores, and the menus don't want to let me configure for more than 4 threads.

I assume this is an issue with prime95, as lots of other things, including BOINC, have no trouble with identifying six CPUs.
./mprime -v reports v25.11.8.

You can override prime95's calculation of the number of cores available. Look in undoc.txt for the NumCPUS setting.

UncWilly...this box isn't going to run Windoze...so I need help locating CPU-Z.
Prime95: I simply overrode prime95s NumCPUs and Numthreads calculations...that works...though I do still get complaints about having more threads in the config file than I am running. I got the AMD64 version of mprime from the www.mersenne.org website just a few days ago.

Can you tell me if there is a perfomance advantage to running 26.4?

P.S. Tried to download 26.4 (linux, 64-bit) from the Software forum link, am getting server timeouts, so trying that will have to wait. Or should I try 26.5, and simply pop into it briefly, given that I have a bunch of work in progress and am running all six cores on prime95?
