I was again swamped with work and various events that kept me away from the computer and the server was dry by the time I got back on. n=495000-499994 (the last few n having previously been done as a manual reservation) is currently loading into PRPnet. Once this is done, the entire k<100K range will be complete! I've also cleaned out all the old candidates in the server...they were really slowing down the web page loading. Regarding LLRnet: since we're on track to finish the whole k<100K range in the near future through PRPnet, we probably don't want to delay that by tying up a small part of it in LLRnet. My suggestion is that we load LLRnet with work from the k=100K-200K range. We already started this range a while back with PRPnet, though it's been on hold for the last few months; currently it's complete up to n=489999. Edit: Oh, and lest I forget, here's the n=495K-500K sieve file I pulled out of the master file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/hvoqoi Last fiddled with by mdettweiler on 2011-10-24 at 23:50

Agreed. Max, could you load n=499K-500K, k=100K-200K into port 12050? Thanks in advance.

The official launch date is still a few days away, but it would be nice to test-drive a couple of pairs to make sure everything is good for Friday's rally.

Okay--the server is loaded and ready to go! Sorry if I scared everybody a bit doing this at the last minute...I had a bunch of very pressing offline work to get done but I knew it would clear up quite a bit today, right before the planned start of the rally, and I'd be able to get the server set up in time.

The server is running at noprimeleftbehind.net port 13000; its status page can be found at:
http://noprimeleftbehind.net:13000/all.html
http://www.noprimeleftbehind.net/tps/
along with the exsting port 12000 and 12050 servers.

2011-11-16, 21:33 #105 Oddball     May 2010 1111100112 Posts Is there any way to add sophie testing to port 13000? When a prime is found, it currently tests for twins but not for Sophies. Earlier today, 20667679305*2^1000000-1 was prime, and 20667679305*2^1000000+1 was found to be composite. The server should also have checked 20667679305*2^1000001-1 and 20667679305*2^999999-1 for primality, but it didn't: Code: user=Lumiukko [2011-11-16 06:42:44] 21187887825*2^1000000-1 is not prime. Not with current PRPnet capabilities, no. I can set the server either to Twin or Sophie Germain mode, but not both. Probably the best way to handle this is to do it the same way PrimeGrid did for their n=666666 search, and test the n+1 and n-1 cases manually.

Done, albeit more than a bit late. Apologies for having missed the mark on this--though I do have a good excuse! (I picked up a rather nasty stomach bug the other day and was in bad enough shape that sitting up and doing stuff on the computer wouldn't have been a good idea...fortunately I'm much better now.)

2012-07-02, 19:19 #110 amphoria     "Dave" Sep 2005 UK 277610 Posts I have sent 100-200G to Max and received a reply. Although he is busy he has committed to uploading the candidates in the next week or so. In the meantime I have created a secondary server for Operation Megabit Twin at www.amphoria.co.uk:14000 and loaded 200-300G into it. Please feel free to use this server whilst we wait for Max but www.noprimeleftbehind.net:13000 will remain the primary server. Note that my server does not yet have email notification of primes set up so you will need to keep an eye on the status pages for any prime discoveries.
