Yeah, people always like to go roundabouts... Why don't use the very strong batch command of yafu? (the "@" stuff). You can type, or even make a batch where you put something like:
Code:
yafu factor(@) -batchfile n.num -threads 8 -R -plan custom
pause
or else, parameterized for your system, use %x instead of thread numbers, or whatever, and call it according with your taste. Then the n.num file can contain a list of stuff you want to factor.

Default sieve overtime estimation

How to estimate number of relations needed when sieve reached the original limit
and is running 'extra' sieve. The displayed limit depends mainly on number of restarts.
Is there anything in nfs.log file which might help?
My command is: yafu-x64 nfs(@) -batchfile N.num -threads 8 -R -pbatch 10 -v
The yafu version is: v1.34.5
The ini file, except of nfs.log and session.log file are attached.

Thanks in advice.
Regards,
cubaq

I'm confused - how to run gnfs on this c125? And why yafu wants 5.5Gb of RAM just for search suitable snfs poly?

What version are you using? It is working fine for me with the branches/wip version.

Latest version of YAFU was successfully compiled except that I had to add a '-lz' option to Makefile. Static build also succeed, but won't work on other systems (SIG_ILL on siqs and nfs, trial factoring and ecm worked OK). Perhaps this is due to different glibc versions. I'll test gnfs on that c125.

I won't be able to look into this in any detail for a few more days. With most problems that occur during post processing it is usually a good idea to gather more relations and try again.

What version/svn# of msieve did you use in this yafu build?

YAFU uses the internals of Msieve as a precompiled library and it's always possible that API changes within the top-level Msieve functions are not accounted for in the current YAFU code.
