I probably won't be working on this for about two months, but as I will be away from home for most of the month of August, I need to reserve now so that I can sieve and drop into my server before I leave just in case I get lucky and find a multiple R30 primes in the range I'm working on.

I see that S63 has about 33,000 k's remaining at n=25k - possibly this could be a target for a mini-drive? I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and sieve this one for a bit on another core, there's about 168.86 million candidates per n=5k range so a sieve to n=100k is 2.5329 billion candidates. Surely it would be easy to find a few primes here...

I'll contribute a core of my laptop towards on and off sieving of base 63 to n=100k, that is, if I have the RAM...

I do not recommend this. I think you'll fairly quickly see why once you start on it.

If you'd like to find a lot of primes quickly, consider taking R106 to n=25K. It has 1641 k's remaining at n=10K. I will be done fully sieving it for n=10K-25K within a week and could send you the file.

To add some numbers to what Gary said: I took S63 from n=10k to n=25k. I sieved on 24 cores (3 dual-quadcore machines with 48GB RAM each) and tested with 100+ cores at peak performance. Even so it took about half a year to do the job (not 24/7, more like 12/7). 25k<n<100k deals with less candidates but the tests are taking more time so the grand total will be even more work. The same goes for sieving. Less candidates but a much bigger range which will more or less even out.

Any effort and work done is appreciated but please be aware of what you're up to here. The quickest way to find lots of primes is scripting some R3 to n=25k. Now that all tested k's are being reserved to n=100k or higher it might be a good moment to raise the k limit.
