With my recent machine upgrade, my account now shows my old CPU with no activity. If I drop it will the credit be lost? Or, do I keep it indefinitely?
OR-- Do I merge it with my new machine (which has a different name/model/etc.)? |

You will not lose your CPU credit if you drop the computer.
Do not merge the computers. It is kinda nice (for tracking error-prone computers). Personally, I'd leave the computer dangling. I've thought about an option for the web page to not display computers that are inactive. |

I partially agree with the "inactive" state after 30 unreported days: Set it to "probably inactive" and add an option to manually set it to inactive. (and also add an option to set a v4 computer to inactive and / or drop it)
BTW: What do the symbols in the "status" column mean? I suppose "T" is trusted, "U" is untrusted? Are there more possible symbols? (feature request: add a list that explains these abbreviations) BTW2: Is my "v4 computer" "U" (untrusted?) because it is v4 (p95 version 24, but this one is no longer active) and not v5, or does the "u" indicate that it might be error-prone? |
