Hi all.
My machine ran the test for 100% I.E. 177 days and only then the results.txt contained the following: UID: nitai1999/nitai1999, M23514263 is not prime. Res64: 8D693A2024EA8C7E. WZ1: 44D96121,23182088,00000400 Is that got anything to do with iterations between results file output set to 999999999? Best Regards. |

The only other information that you would get if you were to decrease the iterations between writes would be it telling you what iteration it is up to. However, you can read this straight of prime95's window, so there isn't any point.
Unfortunally, the entire LL test needs to finish before we know if it is prime or not. |

Thanks a lot Patrik.
Your inquiry ( and diagnose ) in my results is highly appriciated. Indeed the weather here, unlike cool Upsalsa is hot and humid... I am not over clocking in any way. Though My computer is not an expensive nor a leading brand, Asuming that my computer as is. Sould I quit Gimps or is it bearable like this? |

That depends a bit on your motivation for participating. If you want to have a chance of finding a prime you should continue, but you should be aware that your computer may miss it. Otherwise you could choose to double-check or factor numbers instead (under Test->PrimeNet).
Double-checking would help the project each time your computer makes no undetected errors. Factoring is safer. It is very unlikely that you would miss an existing factor, and the server checks that all reported factors actually are factors. But the best would be to find out why the computer is not working properly and fix it. |
