Thanks for the encouragement. The best strategy I got from other users so far is to run TFs from 2^74 to 2^77(GPU), P-1(CPU), TFs from 2^77 to 2^79(GPU), should advance fast with any exponents from M155M to M199M.

GPU = Nvidia Geforce 3080
CPU = Intel Core-i9 12900K

It'll also be very doable for exponents like M332875163, run TFs from 2^76 to 2^80(GPU), P-1(CPU), TFs from 2^80 to 2^81(GPU), I'll particularly try to finish up those exponents to the PRP-Ready stages which include Team_Inspector on them.

Default Cudart dll Version Problem

I just got the new machine, would like to know how to setup my mfaktc on Geforce 3080.

The screenshot below shows that there some mismatching for the dll version.

Got mfaktc working this time, just needed some tweaks. See screenshot below. Still the speed is only around 3500 Ghz/d not 4100 Ghz/d as claimed on the chart.

I also want to know how I should adjust the power setting, so it doesn't slow down when Windows 10 goes into the power saving mode.

Looks like I've gotten the most significant stuffs correct, at least I don't have to bother Kriesel of ViliamF anymore.

Wait for UncWilly's comment about the M332M range exponents such as M332875163, I think this Geforce 3080 will be fast enough to make huge progress of some of the Team_Inspector projects.

My new monitor can support up to 165 Hz, I only put it on 144 Hz.

I barely see a reason why to tell us this on the forum anywhere. I also don't see a reason why would you do it. Why not 165 Hz? Even if your GPU wasn't able to give it that many under some circumstances, it would work just as well as if it had all the frames it needed. It should not use significantly more energy than at 144 Hz, and it should be only better for your eyes.

Unless there are some technical problems with using this refresh rate that are unknown to me, feel free to set it to 165 Hz.

3500 GHz-d/day seems awfully slow. What mfaktc CUDA version do you use and do you use GPUSieveSize=2047?

I have a mfaktc 0.21 version compiled with CUDA 11.2 + GPUSieveSize=2047 and my 3080Ti gets around 6000 GHz-d/day.

I didn't notice the version, copied the mfaktc from my old computer.

I just downloaded the 2047 version and it ran around 4,600 GHz-d/day.

I only have Geforce 3080, no Ti.

Mfaktc performance ratio between GTX1080Ti and 1080 is ~1.29 consistent with the SP spec ratio 1.28.
Mersenne.ca TF ratings 1343, 1042 GHD/day respectively.

rtx2080 ti / 2080 3456 / 2624 = 1.32
gtx 1650 super / 1650 1152 / 783 = 1.471 (1650 Mersenne.ca TF rating seems anomalously low here, I get 800+ in "barrett87_mul32_gs" kernel, 950+ in "barrett76_mul32_gs" although ~655 in "barrett92_mul32_gs", 750+ "barrett88_mul32_gs"; 1650 super ~1400 in "barrett76_mul32_gs")
rtx3080 ti / 3080 4786 / 4178 = 1.15 (if the rtx 3080 ti rating is anomalously low, maybe it's without tuning, without 2047M GpuSieveSize, or on reduced power or limited cooling)
RTX3080Ti 34.1 SP TFlops / RTX3080 29.77 = 1.145 OK.

As I begin to work on M108.3M exponents that Zhangrc has requested, the speed is around 4,850 GHz-d/day. The 4,600 has been the speed for M168M exponents.
