I assume you mean 1 AU from the surface. A star about to undergo core-collapse supernova, is almost certainlya red giant, and 1 AU from the center would likely be well inside the star. Even if you were 1 AU from the surface of the star, the days would probably be rather warm...

It is possible to travel due south from a major USA city and enter Canada.
Traveling through the Panama Canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific, one goes toward the southeast, Canada is the 5th most populace country of North America. Sarah Palin was about as likely to see "Russia from [her] backyard" as someone in Boston is to see North Carolina. |

You, Yes you. You cannot keep your eyes open when you sneeze. And I am not talking about anyone else here.
![]() ------------------- Your monitor emits no yellow or cyan lights. You (yes you) only think it does because your eyes can't distinguish between red+green and yellow AND green+blue and cyan lights. There is no light frequency associated with magenta (purple) light. ------------------- No interference fringe patterns will form behind a double-slit apparatus from a natural (non-laser) light source, unless you (there is no one else here) add a single slit in front of it. That is because the light source will have to be coherent. monochrome light is not required. ------------------- Last fiddled with by a1call on 2020-10-10 at 19:47 |

In average, nearly every individual will sleepover at least 1 day during the entire year of his/her life either being too tired or sick or other physical circumstances.

1 USA state is responsible for 3 of the 4 geographic extremes of latitude or longitude.
At least one of the colors of the rings on the Olympic flag is found on the flag of every country (not necessarily the exact shade). |

Roy G. Biv as the colors of the rainbow is an inaccurate legacy from Isaac Newton.
(Indigo was a trendy new color/dye at the time. He fancied it and wedged it into his new spectrum. It should be ROY GBP.) |

You can get to North Korea from Norway by going through Russia (and not going through any other country besides Russia). Pakistan and Russia don't share a border today, but what you mentioned might have been true in the past.

When I heard this I wondered if it was an urban myth:
If you attend a sporting event in a good sized stadium that has 50,000 to 100,000 spectators in the USA ( pre-Covid, of course ), statistically there would be about 5 murderers in the crowd who were never arrested. |
