Arrow k=255

I lost connection with Gryphon who worked on k=255 for a long time in the past. In his last mail more than two years ago he informed me that he "stopped at 1M". I thought he would maybe do more tests later, but since then I heard nothing from him.

Therefore, I'd like to suggest that we test it together, either as a new drive, or by reserving large blocks. There are not so many people working on our drives right now and maybe reserving large blocks is better (?)

Let me know (1) are you interested to try k=255, and if so how: (2) as a drive or by reserving large blocks.

Thanks
Kosmaj

I am interested in testing by large block. If we choose this, I would like 1300-1400, and would wait to participate until 1000-1300 are reserved.

I'm happy to test some k=255. I don't mind how we do it.

Then how about the following initial distribution:
1000-1100k ... Kosmaj
1100-1300k ... Peter
1300-1400k ... Curtis

Let me know if you need the input file.
Curtis, no need to wait, you can start your range right now!

Roger. I'll start on it when I finish and release k = 211 to 2M (~ 3 weeks).

My desktop quad died, so I'm doing this k on two cores instead of the 4 I originally planned. I have 1300-1318 and 1340-1345 complete, but have not yet assigned 1370-1400.
Kosmaj, you are welcome to extend your range down to 1370k. I'll have 1300-1370 done mid-august, early sept to reach 1400.
