Here is the exponent link:
http://www.mersenne.org/report_expon...8976087&full=1 So I started it yesterday (13th) and it originally said Dec 8 to finish, now it says Nov 26. Prime95 program shows 3 days 16hrs. Why the difference? Thanks. |

Prime95 is good at estimating how fast an exponent will go once it starts, assuming it has full use of the CPU. It multiplies that by the number of hours per day you told it it would run, and then estimates the completion time. Every time Prime95 communicates with PrimeNet it will update the estimated completion time. Things like thermal throttling, running other programs, and running Prime95 a different number of hours per day will change the estimated completion time.

Ok, yeah the estimated days to completion just dropped another day, probably keep dropping today as it meets up with what prime95 is showing.
