Is the precense of prime95 neccesary for ntprime to fuction or is it enough to just create the appropriate local.ini and prime.ini in the directorie of ntprime. I.e. Uses ntprime routines from prime95?

Prime95 is only used to configure the options in prime.ini and local.ini. Put prime95.exe and ntprime.exe in the same directory. Run prime95 to configure everything. Make sure "Start at bootup" is not set. Exit prime95. Start the ntprime service.
Note that prime95 will run as a service, but requires a bit more privileges than ntprime. Ntprime is only for users wanting extra security and peace of mind. |
