I think he sieved multiple ranges of p with srsieve and wants to combine the sieve files.

Exactly. I had 8 cores working on different ranges of p (0-5e8, 5e8-10e8 etc.) so now I have 8 srsieve.out files and each of them has some candidates missing due to factors from its respective p range.

I see. I wouldn't have done it that way. I would have sieved the same range of p but for different ranges of k, to about 1e8 (some value above the max k), then switched to sr2sieve. sr2sieve will work that way you want srsieve to work.

It works rather nicely that way and thanks to KEP I now know how to handle this. I'll be off for the next few days, but I'll let you know about my success (knock on wood) here when I'm back.

Thanks for all the advice you people are offering!

That sounds like PFGW thinks it processed all the work in your input file. Could you post the first handful of lines from your input file? Maybe a corrupt header or an extremely short test that does not trigger any output? Have you tried -l to get a logfile even when there is no PRP?

If there is a pgw.ini file, delete it. You can add -Cverbose for verbose logging to the console.
