I get all of the links in an e-mail that I get weekly. It is just a copy and paste of those links.

I tried but it is too complicate/time consuming, because you can't see the links when you edit, and I don't know how to see the raw text (open to learn how can be done). As I see, every link needs to be copied, edited separate, then erased from the post, and added again back without the digest part. It doesn't work like with quotes or math, when you edit the post you see the LaTeX in clear, and you can directly edit it. Or, I don't know how to do it (yet).

Edit: Whoaaa! I actually edited all of them, including the last and former post(s), and I DID NOT damage any of them, all are still functional!
(yet it took me about 10 minutes, which is a lot of time, to delete a word or two here and there, but don't tell anybody! I came out with a better method than explained above, but yet, not raw text editing, you still need to click, click, click...)

Don't use that fancy JS editor. Just a basic text box is superior for this.

Pretty interesting research, maybe it can be developed as a real life lie detector in the future.

The Glassmaker Who Sparked Astrophysics | Nautilus

Joseph von Fraunhofer, whose career was sparked by literally having a house fall on him. I wonder if they also found any ruby slippers in the wreckage?

I am fascinated and amazed. I had neither clue nor inkling of the existence of Joseph von Fraunhofer.[/QUOTE]

The Neil deGrasse Tyson reboot of Cosmos had an episode featurette on him. You should check it out if you can find it!

Here is the wikipedia page about the episode.

I remember watching that episode of deGrasse Tyson's Cosmos. I had previously heard of "Fraunhofer lines," but had had no inkling of the man's personal history.

The linked article highlights the role of "Fraunhofer lines" in providing evidence that the universe is expanding, but IMO the most fundamental importance, which you have to read pretty far into the article to find, only having been realized about a decade after his death, was this: The dark lines he had observed were identified as "absorption spectra," indicating the presence of elements which emit (and thus also absorb) light in the precise frequencies observed. And therefore, Fraunhofer lines established the fact that the distant stars contain the same elements as are found here on Earth.
