Manual ecm

I believe I've figured out how to run ecm through a server, although the server I'm trying to contact doesn't seem to be operational.

I'm attempting to learn manual ecm and I am a total nOOb at it. I'm looking for some very basic instructions.

Note: While I know nothing about this, I have a very high math IQ, so if you want to pack in a lot of information in a small space, I'm willing to wade through it.

If that server was the XYYXF server, then it's back up. A motherboard failure took it out for all of last week while I was waiting for a replacement to arrive.

I figured it out about a week ago. Now I'm trying to do it from a second computer. The trick is for me to find the riesel sieve post that spelled it all out.

Thanks jasong but I already knew that thread. It was what inspired me to write this guide

I was more wondering how to use ecm.exe to help Cunningham and XYYXF. I may have a clue about how to do cunningham manually, but XYYXF's "how to factor" site kind of scares me...

I should(SHOULD!) be finished installing ecm on my second computer in a few minutes, then I'll attempt to find the "client/server" information.
