This is just a general question--is it possible to restart the linear algebra step (or otherwise break it up)? I'm just looking ahead to times where I can't fit an entire LA step into a continuous block. Thanks!

Yes.
You simply replace last command line's -nc2 (or -nc), with -ncr -nc3. (In rare cases, if that would fail, e.g. the computer went to abrupt halt while writing the last save file, -- replace the .chk file with its previous version, .bak.chk and try -ncr again) |
