![]() k-factorization is the most common use for this lookup table in general, but of course most k values are not so large they can't be factored near-instantly so they'll never appear in this table. It's also used as a general factorization cache for anything on mersenne.ca which could include things like looking up exponent details by factor (which may be composite like a double or triple P-1 factor). There's also the small-number-factorization page, but that should be limited to very small numbers. I checked the 280 unfactoreds still in the queue and none of them are associated with k-values, so honestly I'm not sure where they come from, and in all likelyhood they could be ignored or deleted. I may yet purge the big/difficult ones from the queue, and if they re-appear then I can worry about them later. edit: for now at least I have capped the assignment page at C140. As you can clearly see, any existing reservations are untouched. The others are currently hidden, not deleted, but I may delete them in the future. I've already passed on any known factors to factordb so if they come up again nothing will really be lost. And I'll need to do some more digging and debugging to see where these new numbers are coming from and if they're actually important or relevant.

If these are related to mersennes in any way, then they could only come from cofactors and/or/prp stuff. There is no "normal" factor found yet, to have so many bits. Anyhow, not my biz, I just grabbed a handful from the smaller ones (<128 digits), in 20 cores they would be done overnight. May not report back till after the (long) weekend anyhow (holiday here, king's birthday).
