Trying out 10000-10100 (msieve) real quick. Is this a good command to use?

msieve -p -i c157.txt -np 10000,10100
Might extend to 11k or 15k (or whatever is available at that time) once I see how long this takes and if I'm doing it all correctly.

that it didn't find a polynomial in that range was the problem with msieve

I made a booboo. I didn't realize that my def-nm-params.txt didn't have an entry for 157 digits.

Is this a good enough line?

Ok, as long as nothing's wrong, I'm happy.
Reserving 10.1k-11k, msieve. If the last range was any good indication, it'll take about two hours (over two cores).

No: 1.53e+024 is much too large a first-stage norm bound, you'd get unreasonably many outputs. 3e23 seems a bit better (350 seconds to get 126 first-stage outputs for 20M..21M). For the Murphy parameter, 1.78e-12 feels big, 8.5e-13 will give more plausible candidates, though you might want to update that after an evening's sieving.

pol51opt -b c157 -n 4.0e22 -N 4e19 -e 8e-13
might be a sensible parameter set, though I'm not very confident about the -N figure for the polopt call.

10.1k-11k complete, both had the same results as before so I suppose no suitable polys were found.
