I'm not sure if it was mentioned or not, although you probably figured it out already: It's best to run each occurrence of LLR from a separate directory (folder). As a general rule, that applies to any software that you would use for our project: LLRnet, manual LLR, sr(x)sieve, etc.

Running Windows 7, each occurence has its own icon. So far they're all running good. No primes yet, hopefully soon.

Very good.

For the n-range that you are running on a sieve to P=4T, on average, you should get 1 prime for every 5647 tests. With 10704 tests in the files that you reserved, you should get close to a total of 2 primes.

Of course you could get none or 5 or 6. Good luck!

The first post doesn't look bleak anymore. Nice job.
BTW the files go all the way to n=500K so there should be plenty more primes here.

Okay, it is realy an iteresting testingfield. Will give it a first try with the ranges of 426k-427k and 427k-428k. But it is also a test, how long such a range will take on my box.

Edit says: Looks quiet good. Tested 4 canditates, 180 sec for each, will give 90 sec on C2D. ;) Starting the search immediately after finishing my TPS-Sieve.

With about 3500 test's per file, you are looking at about a week utilizing only 1 core at 180 sec per. Half that for 90 sec per.

Have fun. gamer needed some competition

Think so, too. And competition is good for business. :)
I also calculated one week. Hopefully it will not be finished before sunday evenning, because from thursday until then, I have no access to my little machine.

Awesome, more people. :)

Thought this would be a single effort by me. Nice to see someone join it. Welcome to the project!
