Default problem I have

hi I have a drive on my computer that i don't remember creating and it has no bytes used or usable but i can't delete it I don't know if I have an admin account but it's my personal PC any help to get rid of it? though antivirus software seem to have found that it can't read files on it (and yet it tells me it has none).

Is it a Windows PC (or did it have Windows installed on it originally?) If so, it may be a "recovery partition". This PC has one, and a netbook I bought last year also has one. Instead of sending actual physical media to re-install Windows in case of disaster, the original Windows installation can be rebuilt from an image on the recovery partition..... Depending on how the partition is set up, it may only be accessable when it is used (booting from the recovery partition.)

it is a windows pc but I didn't make it that I can tell so either the OS or other software did I think. The point is I don't back things up lol I don't see the use in most cases I either know where to find what I want no where to find something to help find what I want or should already have it (though I can't find my OS disk).
