does anybody know if gigabyites GA-7dx will take a amd xp cpu?

right now i cant get anything out of them ( gigabyte) they wont return my emails

Hi! I think it does, at least till XP2200+.
You'd probably just have to update the BIOS.
A friend of mine has an ABIT with the same chipset and he's running Athlon XP without any problem. Even important on manufacter website you may find the version of BIOS to properly recognize the XP Cpus.

It most definitely does. That Gigabyte board was a great performer. But then again, I got it from AMD with a new XP2000 2 weeks before the XP2000 was released to the public.

Just make sure it has the newest Bios on it.

Won it when they were giving away all that crap last year. AMD went to a whole bunch of cities and at 6:00AM local, had drawings. They also gave some away from their website.
