Default Lap Top Setting for NO-Hibernate....

I just got a Toshiba Lap Top T6500.
I would like to know if there is a setting such that when the lid is closed the LapTop does NOT go into hibernate mode thereby stopping Prime95.

Thanks

What OS?
In XP and Vista (and Win7) you can change this in the power settings from the control panel by reassigning power button functions.

Some laptops do not like to run with the lid closed, as they draw cooling air from around the keyboard.

Go to Control Panel, then select Energy Options.
You will have several schemes to choose from, which you will be able to personalize. There is an "Advanced" button, and there, along with many other things, you can configure the actions the computer will take when you close the lid, choosing for example different behaviours depending on whether you´re running the laptop on battery or AC power. Choose the "do nothing" option if you want it to keep running whenever you close the lid.
