I did a search and didn't find anything, so I will ask.

What is a Gigahertz Day?

Now, I will guess: 1 GHz for 24 hours. If so, then for a 3 GHz CPU, a GHz day would be 8 hours.

Sorry. I'm trying to understand what is on my network summary page.

I think it also must assume you are useing an Intel core2 type cpu. If you have something else it might not match up as well.

I was just looking at the overall statistics. The top user, who is anonymous, has accumulated over 5 million gigahertz days. What in blazes does any single person use to accomplish something like that?

That is not a single person, rather people who didn't set up their user info right.

Okay, I see it now. Everyone who did not bother to complete their account setup are lumped together. I guess they didn't want credit for their clock cycles.

#2 is University of Central Missouri with 1,993,446.91 GHz Days. Their page says they're running 850 computers. Wow! A lot of the others at the top are also colleges or businesses, save one.

Statistics fascinate me. Sorry!

A large part of anonymous' total is credit from the old version of the PrimeNet server (v4) that has not been linked to any v5 user yet. I bet a lot of it is never claimed.

Isn't it obvious? Gigahertz day is October 9th.
