Default 34.2-34.5 to 2^61

I will take the range 34.2 to 34.5 to 2^61.

I will work from one end with a P120, and from the other with a P166 when it finishes its current primenet assignment in a few weeks. Timings are 93 and 66 minutes per exponent respectively, there are 7610 exponents in the range so it should take about 7 months.

3487 exponents tested so far, 47 factors found (expected 58).

This range is going slower than I first calculated because I am using these machines for other things. I expect it will take at least 6 more months to finish.

No problem, there's a lot of time left till Primenet will reach this range.
Maybe it's a good idea to release a sub-range (eg 34.2-34.3M, if completed) for other people who want to factor to 62 bit.
Your machines are pretty slow - even for LMH. Some guys are offering much faster old hardware stuff in several threads at the moment, maybe you can grab something to upgrade.

See for example here :

If anyone wants to take over a part of this range then just post here, otherwise I will keep plugging away at it.

That would be nice, but I expect the shipping to New Zealand would not be economic :-)

I am buying some new machines, the weak US dollar has caused big price drops on new equipment here, but I will keep these old machines running anyway since they use very little electricity. (I have them set up as diskless/headless nodes off a linux nfs server).

I am releasing this range early, I am going to use these old machines to do
some ECM factoring for a while. All results should be in the status files following 16/3/2004.

This is the new status of the 34.2 - 34.5 range:

34.2 - 34.3: Factored to 2^61 (All 2537 exponents tested, 34 factors found)
34.3 - 34.4: Factored to 2^60
34.4 - 34.5: Factored to 2^61 (All 2559 exponents tested, 38 factors found)
