I am not an American but I believe your much vaunted "freedom of speech" refers only to governmental organizations. As I understand it, private enterprises can grant you as much or as little freedom as they wish.

Perhaps one of your many self-acknowledged delusions includes that you believe the Mersenne Forum is provided by a US governmental organization.

P.S. Your frequent use of the Burmese honorific title 'U' when addressing us is rather amusing because it is so wildly inappropriate.

The phrase in Samuel's avatar reminds me of this scene from The Exorcist. Hmm, maybe this one isn't a zombie. We might have a demon on our hands!

I'm not American, but I am a law school grad and a huge fan of the US Constitution so I'd say you're "close enough for jazz".

The government cannot infringe on the right to freedom of expression. This means it is unconstitutional for the government to legislate to say that the reisel primes cannot be discussed on the Mersenne Forum.

So I suppose what you said is correct in so far as the "act" that would be unconstitutional would be conducted by the government (by acting to legislate), even though the restriction of free speech would be manifesting in reality by a private organisation.

The Mersenne Forum is, however, entirely at liberty to ban discussion of reisel primes, ban samuel from posting, edit his posts or anything else it wants. There are no free speech implications for a private entity acting on its own.

To the OP.

I posted a python program in your other prediction thread that generated a degree 50 polynomial. It perfectly predicted all 51 known Mersenne exponents that lead to primes. And guess what, it also predicted the next one in the sequence. So that must mean that it is correct, right?

The First Amendment begins, "Congress shall make no law..." which clearly shows it applies to what the government may not do, including abridging freedom of speech.

It doesn't apply to what non-governmental actors can do if they find your speech objectionable. If you go into a business and start denouncing it at the top of your lungs, you can expect to be thrown out. If you tell your boss you think (s)he's a tyrannical piece of you can expect to be fired.

And if you're posting to an on line forum, the folks running the forum can set rules and guidelines for posts, and the moderators can play God. Fiddling with thread subject titles falls under that heading.

If a post violates forum guidelines, it can be censored. If the moderators find it objectionable enough, they can delete it.

As long as they don't rewrite your posts so as to materially change their meanings, you've got no legitimate cause to complain.

Before saying that M52 has been found on this forum, specific criteria that must be met.
It has to have had a clean LL run (or maybe PRP), and it needs a sanity check of the last few thousand iterations being redone.

For you to say that you found it without an LL test, you need to show a mathematical *proof* why your algorithm produces only Meresenne Primes. Also, it must handle all cases including 2, 3, & 7.

It would be lovely to think you have found a formula which can generate mersenne prime exponents. However, your last attempt at this was littered with outlandish claims, accusations and hubris.

I think we would have all hoped that you would have taken from the last experiment that the distribution of prime numbers is much more complicated than any algebraic relationship will find. I'm loathed to say "don't bother" but at the very least "go ahead, have fun, but please realise that there is a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance that you will actually find what you are looking for and please present your conjectures with an appropriate amount of humility".

I do feel that the comical re-naming of threads is a little rude, when a neutral re-naming could be just as effective, but apart from that, I fear you are witnessing the result of prior burnt bridges.
you have no idea what u r talking about, u have a law degree not a math degree do you even know how to do implitict diffierentation?

freedom of speech means one can talk about whatever one wants to without being forcible interruptted. the idea of free speech is so that one can deliver any ideas to any one without being supressed, what you are saying it basically a socialist like bernie sanders. of course u r not american what do i expect there is nothing wrong with using 'u' my dad use it all the time, if u ever stop in my town i will make sure my dad pulls u over and give u citation =))))

of course! i was not able to do any programs that perfectly have 51 known mersenne primes on the equation that is too dificult. but any polynomials f(X) that gives you f(1)=M1,f(2)=M2...........f(51)=M51, of corse common sense tells u f(52)=M52. so if u found such a polynomial (u r probably lying) then of course u found M52? how hard is it to use common sense to deduce results?

Put up or shut up. Download Prime95 and run your exponent through it. It will take a couple of weeks. Collect your winnings. Curve fit again. Rinse and repeat.

We do not believe we know how to do those things, neither what they are, and we do not believe that anybody in the world knows what they are and how to do them. We also believe that their parents have no idea about it.

Interesting enough, there are a lot of hits on gulu-gulu about "implitict", haha, including scientific papers, movies, and books, and it seems that there are a lot of idiots in this world. As George Carlin said, "think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that". We believe you need to read this book.

But we didn't find any useful link for "diffierentation", whatever that means...

Maybe you can enlighten us?

Fine by me.

Your government has made it such a thoroughly unpleasant experience getting into the US that I decided long ago never to go there again. It's a real pity because I used to enjoy my stays over there and most Americans (present company excepted of course) are very nice friendly folk.

It's not just foreigners who are given a hard time by the authorities. This is the account of a white American citizen trying to return home to Austin.
