Default geocities site closing

geocities.com is closing on the 26 October 2009, so anyone using srsieve or any of my other programs should download whatever they need before then.

If anyone knows somewhere else to host these programs, please let me know.

I think Google Sites would work well for what you need. Just make separate pages for each sr(x)sieve and any other groups of files you have and upload the necessary files as attachments to the page.

Have you considered SourceForge? You could also use the primenumbers group over at Yahoo. I could put them on Proth Search.

Chris Caldwell has hosted some software on the Prime Pages. Another possibility is the Mersenneforum. You can ask Mike (Xyzzy) if he has the capacity.

IMO, he should have a webpage that describes the software and provides some documentation on how it works, how to use it, and the software that it can be used with.

I have started to set up a google site, I think it will do everything I need but it might take a little while to figure out the details. Thanks Mini-Geek.

The only problem I have with SourceForge is that I access the internet from my local library and can't install the svn software there.

Edit: The URLs will be http://sites.google.com/site/<program-name>, e.g. http://sites.google.com/site/sr2sieve
