Hi, striker!

Under The Math, you'll find an explanation, what this is about. As stated there, this is no serious error - just go on with your work. In general, most problems are discussed either in the online help of Prime95, on the mersenne.org site or in this forum. Just search for the error message.

As usual, there is more than meets the eye. IIRC, the error message reporting during P-1 factoring are not as robust as during LL testing. I think the relatively benign ILLEGAL SUMOUT and dangerous SUMINP != SUMOUT are both reported as "SUMOUT error occurred."

I suggest running Options/Torture Test for a few hours to see if you have hardware problems.

i'm having the "SUMOUT error occurred" after running p95 for an overnite.
do you mean that if i could run torture test for a few hours with no errors, then my system is very likely to be stable?
thanks!

24 hours of torture without an error is generally seen as stable...
