Somehow I doubt he'll have widespread support or much real power outside the capital. Paul |

I think Gore will take it, everywhere but Florida.

I've watched the debates and all I can think is '...and one of these guys is going to be the next president?'

I once had sex with George W. Bush. Should I keep that a secret?

IMHO, http://www.electoral-vote.com/ is quite a good resource. It takes state polls and creates a map of the US, showing the "territories" of the candidates. It's updated daily.

Four years ago it would have been much more accurate relative to today. I'm thinking the number of undecided voters are higher than they were two weeks ago before any of the debates started. But this year even the measuring of the electoral lean has become extremely volatile, especially since people now are known to say things just to throw off polls. I'm sure it's still pretty accurate after the plus/minus. However, it's hard to tell whether the electorate is really angry enough to storm the polls for Kerry on November 2nd. |

Something odd I noticed was several times in debates Kerry said, "I made a mistake in my speech, but Bush made a mistake in invading Iraq." But he always said he supported it!

Uh oh, clowns789 posted something of substance ... the war of words will soon escalate.
I don't put much faith in electoral-vote.com's polls. Last election most polls had Bush leading Gore by 3 to 5 percent on the day before election. Only Zogby called it right. How about this website where you actually wager on the outcome, http://www.tradesports.com/ This shows 59% of bettors believe Bush will win re-election. You can even look at the betting for each state. |
