Default P95 26.6 download

Hello everyone, sorry if this is in the wrong location of the forums, but i was wondering if anyone had a download for version 26.6 64 bit windows? i just cannot seem to find it anywhere... the only sites i have found are sketchy russian websites.. lol..

i will be stress testing my i5 7600k and have been reading that that is one of the better versions..

You may be able to find what you want here:

or here:
https://www.mersenneforum.org/gimps/

They are mirrors of the official software site. But, they don't throw out the old versions. I saw what looked to be a 64 bit 26.6.

If the purpose of using the older version is to avoid AVX, you don't need to. The latest versions have a GUI option to disable AVX.

(And I'll stay clear of the debate about whether it's a good idea to avoid stressing AVX.)

you are a god! thank you! i will try 26.6, i am currently running 26.5 but iver read that is the best version.. i also ran the current one but that one is pretty hot.. even on my dellided cpu lol running at 75ish 80C
26.5 runs at 65C but i feel its not heavy enough, i really dont know lol .-.

Yes that is the reason lol and dont worry i also stay out of that debate lol, only reason im trying this version is because for some reason occt fails but my.p95 26.5v doesnt... so im kinda skeptical and wanna try 266, and the occt failire i believe i have narrowed it down to my ram...

Just use the recent version, use the pulldown menu to disable AVX. Once you think your machine is stable, you can discover how much slower it needs to run *with* AVX too!

Minor correction: use the checkboxes at the bottom of the torture test dialog box to disable AVX.
