Default question range 1 billion to 2 billion?

when will the range 1 billion to 2 billion be added to the search factor report?

It is not likely in the next 5 years. Currently the numbers up around 900,000,000 would take multiple years running 24/7 on a quad core machine. However the software is not setup for that. Even if the software was set-up for that, they are so large that the current processors are not suited to testing the numbers well.

i have small factors 100 to 1.589 billion range . 3.5 gb of results . stopping at 2 billion. should i just wait or send the results to the people running gimps? i'm using an old computer not connected to the net.

I was meaning software for Primality testing. Sorry for the mis-read of your question.
