Default llrnet 64 bit

Hi,

I'm running 64bit ubuntu and I wanted to help with PSP-PRP. But I cannot compile the llrnet program on 64bit linux.
Could someone help me out?

This is the error I get:
gcc -DTHREADING "-DDEFAULT_LUA_FILE=\"llrnet.lua\"" -g -c -Ilua/include -I../llrsource -I../llrsource/linuxllr -malign-double -o llrnet.o llrnet.cxx
llrnet.cxx:1: error: -malign-double makes no sense in the 64bit mode
make: *** [llrnet.o] Error 1

Try installing the "ia32bit-libs" package (it may be called "ia32-libs" or something like that)--that should give it the ability to run 32-bit apps such as LLR.

ok, just used the binary that I compiled on a x86 system and it runs fine under 64bit. Didn't know that that would work.
Thanks for the help!

That's the beauty of x86-64, the 64bit part is essentially a bunch of extra registers and a couple more instructions, the x86 part is still there fully intact. It's really the only way the industry could have transitioned to 64bit with the way the software world has been the last 15 years or so *cough*wintel*cough*. Not that x86 is a very good instruction set in the first place.... :P
