Well i just finished putting my system together...
Error in same spot in prime95 after running it 5 times http://img41.exs.cx/img41/3479/error1po.jpg http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=271955&sd=RMVP http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=291806&sd=RMVP Error codes so far 0x00000050 0x0000004E PFN_List_corrupt A64 2800+ stock hsf stock settings Abit nf8 bios 15 Antec sonata + 380w psu Leadtek 6600gt stock WD 80gb 8mb cache (800jb) corshair xms 256x2 pc3200 I get a blue screen while just surfing the web which says : 0x00000050 Page Fault not in page area etc. I tried to google this and put it in microsoft help but the blue screen was really vague it didnt list a specefic file. I had before the 70.xx beta drivers so maybe those were buggy? I ran memtest over night, then the next night prime95 and they both were error proof. I have the latest whql drivers from nvidia for my video card. Im using nvidia chipset 5.10 which are certified and im not using the shitty nvidia ide drivers that are known to be buggy. My rails on the powersupply are exactly on par with specs so im wondering if its a software issue. Im using windows xp prof sp2. Hard drive continues to be corrupted, cant install avg anti virus etc, when i open things it says i need to close them and then it exits. Yet i ran a check disk and 0 bytes were in bad sector. Maybe its because i added a 20-24 pin converter to my psu so that it will work with my nf8 motherboard. You can use 20 pints but mine didnt want to snap in. This is really frustrating and any help would be appreciated. I think my first step will be to change the IDE cable in the event of corruption. Then if i get another BSOD i will change out the ram and run prime etc and hope for the best. Last fiddled with by matt00926 on 2005-03-15 at 19:01 |

nForce chipsets can be very picky when it comes to memory modules. If you have the memory in dual channel mode (if that's possible), try switching to single channel mode. Alternatively, try with one module at a time.
