I propose to list here the new noticeable items added to the Wiki.
That should be more readable than the "Recent Changes" in the Wiki main page. Tony Last fiddled with by T.Rex on 2005-11-28 at 22:27 |

I've added a paragraph in the LLT page about the Digraph that can be built for each Mersenne prime under the LLT.
There is a new result dealing with the number of cycles of a given length in a Digraph built under Read this thread in AOPS (Art Of Problem Solving) for details and proofs (not mine ![]() Regards, Tony |

I changed the step 2 explanation, so now it should be three times as fast, without introducing complication to the algorithm.

I've just added articles for sieving and smooth numbers.
Please feel free to edit them if you have ideas to make them better. |

I've just added an article about the Self Initializing Quadratic Sieve factorization method. There is still no content for linear algebra. Please feel free to modify it to make it more understandable or correct typos (English is not my first language).

I've just added a small chapter in the LLT part saying that there are only 3 different "Universal Initial Values" that can be used as S0 for the LLT and for any Mersenne number: 4, 10, and 2/3 = (2^q+1)/3 . This appeared in a Thesis by Robert Thompson.
There should be more details in Berkeley PhD Thesis of Samuel Gebre-Egziabher, after 2002, but I cannot find it. I would be very pleased if someone could help me to get it ! Tony |
