Default MM127 Checkout Page

I would like someone to check out this exponent from 175-176 bits to start out with. You can do part of a bit too, just give us your status.txt so someone else can continue with it.

The cygwin files and Factor3_2 are at: http://home.earthlink.net/~elevensmooth/Billion.html

IIRC Tony Forbes already started a search project for MM31 and MM61. Maybe he's on his way testing MM127 too.

I think we should ask him about his search before stepping on his toes

Why do you always let other people do the job, why not doing it yourself?

I'm like a dictator, easily assigning stuff like in Operation Billion Digits. I still stick by the operation, but I'll get on to factoring.

By the way, here's the website for MM61: http://www.ltkz.demon.co.uk/ar2/mm61.htm

Edit: Hey, how about we just do MM61 for now? 8357 done, 1643 to go according to the website. When that's done, there'll be MM127! I'll even do some! Also, MM31 has a factor!

MFAC is a source for *nix.
I tried to compile it under Cygwin, but with no success.
MFAC for DOS has none of those euristics that speed up search for Athlon and Pentium IV.

M971 is the lowest with no known factor.
MM127 will still need an L-L and that is centuries off to prove it prime.

Uncwilly:

Go to worktodo.ini and type "Test= M971" or something! Do you mean test it?

I also noticed on the website it said everything except XP. I wonder why not XP.
