Default Folder-based Kindle app?

Is there a way to put Kindle files in Android into individual folders? Something where I can put a symbolic link in more than one folder? I've got like 3-4 choices for categories, and they all suck when compared to a real bookshelf.

Those Kindle people need to get their act together if they want digitally-based reading to take off. The more books I buy, the worse the experience gets. It'd be like if you took your real life books and just threw em in a pile, even slobs like me do better than that irl.

Maybe there's a folder making trick I'm not aware of, kinda like that delete option, something non-obvious if you're just looking at the screen?

Kindle 4.0 for iOS supports collections. The books still exist in the big pile, but you can view collections of them on a different screen.

That's kinda like me cutting off my nose to spite my face. I need something Android-based.

I wasn't suggesting that you change to using iOS. If the iOS version has been upgraded, I presume that the Android version will be soon, if it hasn't already. Kindle 4.0 has only just be released for iOS.

Good to know. Considering I'm pretty much buying all my books in my Kindle app, your post could be the most important one by far.

Thanks, I'll look into the folder feature on an actual Kindle.

I assumed that you had a Kindle already and were trying to find a Kindle app that had the same features. I went from Kindle to Kindle app rather than the other way around. It has taken a long time for the apps to catch up with the Kindle. People have been asking for the folder feature in the apps for several years and Amazon have finally got around to implementing something similar in the form of collections.
