My understanding is that all the record-setting size NFS jobs of the 21st century have used Kleinjung's tools, which should give an indication of how much they can scale. I don't think there's anything available that's comparable, though the CADO tools are close if you have access to big iron.

Fri Jun 1 18:27:17 2012 linear algebra at 0.1%, ETA 663h48m

This will take a bit longer than that thanks to waiting in cluster queues, but I'm hoping early July.
Hmmm... now it's rather late July - is there any news about the progress?

It's progressing and no longer stalled.

Long story, but if Greg says it's running again then it should be near 50% now.

Except the driver forgot to tell us that we stopped part of the way, and stayed stopped for half as long as the whole trip would have taken.

(In the defense of the back seat, we waited until (after) the previously given ETA.)

"...there is sometimes a buggy. How many drivers does a buggy have?"

What gave you the impression that you were even in the buggy?

To placate the kids in the back...
We're almost there...

linear algebra completed 53591449 of 90270879 dimensions (59.4%, ETA 208h45m)

Remember that running a job on a shared cluster isn't like running a job on your desktop. Here's what the queue looks like right now:

Total jobs: 645 Active Jobs: 420 Waiting Jobs: 190 Dep/Unsched Jobs: 35

One of the Active jobs is 2m1061.
